Facility Change
The Tooele Driver License Office will open full time on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Office hours will be Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Driver License has opened a brand new facility to the southern part of Salt Lake City. This office is called South Valley Office and opened on Monday, August 18, 2008. The location of this office is 14555 S Minuteman Dr. in Draper and the hours will be Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Our Sandy Express Office located at 9400 S 834 E, permanently closed on Thursday, August 14, 2008.
Our Northwest Office located at 799 N Redwood Rd has permanently closed. The new Fairpark Driver License Office opened on May 5, 2008. This office is located at 1095 Motor Ave, SLC 84116. Office hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Procedure Changes

Motorcycle License Changes
House Bill 72S1 (passed in 2008) repeals all class M licenses as of July 1, 2008.
Also, new restrictions for Motorcycle endorsement permit holders. For more information click here.
Effective July 8, 2008, a new rule will be in place which will require all new motorcycle riders to be restricted to riding a motorcycle based on the cc size of the motorcycle upon which the rider is tested. The following 3 restrictions will be used:
O = 90 cc or less Motorcycle
2 = 249 cc or less Motorcycle
3 = 649 cc or less Motorcycle
If you are tested on a motorcycle 650 cc or greater no restriction will be placed on your license and you will be permitted to ride any size motorcycle.

Cedar City Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2008 and
between 7:00 am and 9:00 am Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
Dixie Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:
September 10, 2008 -- January 14, 2009
Ephraim Office - will close between 8:00 am and 10:00 am on Thursdays of the following dates:
October 2, 2008 -- January 29, 2009
Fairpark Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
Farmington Office - will close between 7:00 and 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2008.
Heber Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:
October 15, 2008 -- January 21, 2009
Logan Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Tuesday November 25, 2008.
Moab Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursdays of the following dates:
October 16, 2008 -- January 15, 2009
Ogden Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:

Orem & Provo Offices - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursday, October 30, 2008.
Price Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:
October 8, 2008 -- January 14, 2009
Richfield Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:
September 17, 2008 -- January 21, 2009
Roosevelt Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesdays of the following dates:
October 22, 2008 -- January 28, 2009
Tooele Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.
West Valley Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.
East Area Offices (Heber, Price, Vernal, Moab) -- will be closed all day on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.
South Area Offices (Cedar, Dixie, Fillmore, Richfield) -- will be closed all day on Wednesday, April 29, 2009.

Renewal By Mail
If your last renewal was by mail or internet, you will need to apply at a Driver License office for your upcoming renewal. This will enable us to issue you a new Driver License with enhanced security features.
